This car was delivered to Jack Loftus Ford in Hinsdale, Il for dealer prep in 1966 before joining the Hertz rental fleet. Retired from Hertz it went to Midway Motors on 8/10/1967. It's first owner, George Woodberry, owned the car until 1988 when the car was sold to Calvin Dahl. An extensive restoration took place over the next four years, at which time it is believed that the car was painted from its original green & gold to red & gold. There were only 50 original green & gold Hertz cars. It still retains its original drivetrain and 289 Hi-Po engine. Car is in the Shelby Registry.
